Product Description

Dekton Bergen is an ultracompact white surface with the looks of Brazil ‘s iconic Bianco Eclipse Quartzite. Unlike natural quartzite, Bergen offers a material that can be used as kitchen desktops or in bathrooms without sealants being applied. Similarly, Bergen is able to deliver flexibility by boasting a variety of 4 mm, 8 mm, 12 mm and 20 mm thick slabs.

The Dekton Bergen collection belongs to Stonika Xgloss by mixing a highly developed mixture of porcelain, quartz, glass and raw materials. It results in a highly polished, ultracompact surface and also highly stained and scratched. Furthermore it is suitable for any type of external and internal applications.

Dekton Bergen shows on an off-white base with dark grey veins arranged in random patterns to produce the superior-sheen natural look of quartzite. Moreover, this material’s inspiration is based not only on technicality and excellent results, but also on the use of organic colors and textures.

The new XGloss Dekton Bergen’s exclusive personality is ideal for use in both residential and commercial applications including kitchen workstations, splashbacks, and other interior and exterior areas.

What is Dekton?

Dekton is a sintered stone, made from a unique formula of natural quartz stone, porcelain, glass and other raw materials.  These organic components are blended and compressed with extreme pressure to result in a product that is impervious to staining and highly resistant to scratches and heat.
How heat resistant is Dekton?

Due to its technical characteristics, Dekton Bergen can withstand up to 300 C of heat. This enables the end-user to drag pots and pans directly on to its surfaces without damaging the stone. Despite this claim, it always best to use a trivet to place hot items from the oven.

How to Clean and Maintain Dekton surfaces?

For daily maintenance, you can use a window spray and kitchen cloth. Dekton is totally non-porous and it will never require sealants or additional coatings.

For Limescale marks, you can use white vinegar, leaving it to rest for one minute. Rinse with plenty of warm water and a scouring pad. Dry with a kitchen towel.

Thicknesses of 4 mm, 8mm and 12mm are available for furniture and wall cladding. Dekton Bergen 12mm and 20 mm thicknesses are available for horizontal applications such as kitchen worktop and countertop.

Dekton uses a Sintered Particle which works at a molecular rather than granular level, which ensures the material has practically zero water porosity, enabling it to work on any environment and foods including colourants such as curry, lemon, coffee and ketchup.
