Dekton Kovik is a surface of sintered stone, suitable for kitchens, floors and bathrooms. Unlike natural concrete or calcareous, when exposed to colored food substances, Dekton Kovik does not scratch, stain, or etch. Moreover, this natural surface with grey hues adds the natural look of concrete and calcareous to modern and classic designs.
The Natural Collection Dekton Kovik is created by combining a highly formed mixture of porcelain, quartz, glass and raw materials. This results in an ultracompact surface that is highly heat resistant, freezing, scratching, staining. It is also suitable for indoor as well as for outdoor applications.
The Kovik color is born from the most remote mountains: a grey backdropped surface with randomly dispersed veins that will bring natural aesthetics into any space.
Dekton Kovik workstations offer shades of neutral hues and a velvety matt finish to elevate any room’s aesthetics. Moreover, this material’s inspiration is based not only on technicality and excellent results, but also on the use of organic colors and textures. Like his counterpart Dekton Bergen, Kovik is super handy and easy to use.
The unique personality of the new Dekton Natural Kovik tones is ideal for use in both residential and commercial applications, including kitchen workstations, splashbacks and wet applications.
What is Dekton?
Dekton is a sintered stone, made of a unique formula made from natural quartz stone, porcelain , glass and other raw material. These organic components are blended with extreme pressure and compressed to produce a product that is impervious to stain and highly resistant to scratches and heat.
How heat resistant is Dekton?
Dekton Kovik can withstand up to 300 C of heat, due to its technical characteristics. This allows the end-user to directly drag pots and pans on to its surfaces without damaging the stone. Given that argument, using a trivet to position hot items from the oven is often best.
How to Clean and Maintain Dekton surfaces?
You can use a window spray and kitchen cloth for the daily maintenance. Dekton is completely non-porous, and will never require additional sealants or coatings.
You may use white vinegar for the Limescale traces, allowing it to rest for one minute. Rinse with hot water and a scouring pad. Dry with towel to the kitchen.
Kovik ‘s available in 4 mm, 8 mm, 12 mm and 20 mm thicknesses. For cladding we recommend 4 mm, 8 mm and 12 mm; and 12 mm thickness and over for kitchen work desks and countertops.
Dekton uses a Sintered Particle that operates at a molecular rather than granular level, ensuring that the material has virtually zero water porosity, allowing it to work on any atmosphere and foods like colors like curry, lemon, coffee and ketchup.
Features and benefits of Dekton Kovik worksurfaces:
High resistance to thawing and freezing
Completely fireproof
Highly resistant to abrasion
Uniform and stable in colouring
Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications
